We would like your support in our ancestral land back campaign.
We are documented direct lineal descendants of several Chumash villages along the Gaviota coast. We would like to share our knowledge of our ancestral lands and the cultural significants of restoring our traditional indigenous stewardship of the land where our ancestors lived and thrived for thousands of years.
Our peoples legacy is that of respecting and protecting our land from development while nurturing our indigenous population . Our peoples vision is to eliminate the human footprint for a period of time to allow the land to regenerate the flora and fauna needed to support a healthy Eco-system and in turn, support our cultures survival (revitalization).
Locating and protecting our sacred sites on our land is priority number one. We would like to involve the community in this restorative effort on California’s most historic land. This is an unprecedented event and can help to heal our coastal villages and the people who descend from them.
