As part of our cultural revitalization it is important to establish an in road into today’s global economy. One way is by establishing cultural heritage enterprises that create jobs and ensure multigenerational sustainability for the people and the land.
Each tribe has its own dreams of the future. Each has its own histories and ways that make it unique.
The Apanish Foundation and the Ortega family from Rancho Nueatra Senora del Refugio is developing a blueprint model of world class Eco Village Farm Reserve, this model will be designed to be integrated within the current agri-culture, aqua-culture and greenhouse farming on Dos Pueblos Ranch. The Royal Rancho Village Farm will be developed to sustain itself and in time make a profit. These profits will go back to fund and support the foundations programs and workshops.
This is a Non-profit hybrid approach that is has become popular in the computer science industry. The farms products will be an authentic Native American Brand. Our goal is re-establish our traditional food sovereignty and to have a Native American power food company. Apanish “Village Farms Reserve ®”.
As part of our mission in Environmental and Cultural preservation we will be introducing our Tribal Cultural Landscape program and within that we have a Tribal Land Trust Group that will assist us in acquisitions regarding Chumash Tribal Cultural Properties for cultural, habitat revitalization and preservation.
